Characters for E.L. Heath Music Video

In August 2013 I was commissioned by Shropshire musician Eric Loveland Heath (E.L. Heath) to create the characters and props for a future stop-motion music video for his song “Pan Mae’r Cathod yn Rheoli’r Môr” (“When the Cats Rule the Sea”). This song appears on his album “Tŷ”, released on Wayside and Woodland Recordings, October 2013. (www.waysideandwoodland.com)

This commission involved designing and creating the individual characters before cutting and painting or illustrating them by hand. Certain characters had to be able to move limbs as well as stand well on the background surface. This video is currently being animated by film-maker Emma Puente, who has kindly included several scenes from the work in progress.
